COASTAL SUMMER CAMP
The Coastal Summer Camp lodge was intended to be a sanctuary for students and teachers during summer courses or during summer break.

The design intent was to create a space on an outcropping of rock near the Pacific Ocean where a large group of teenagers could retreat for the summer to a quiet, relaxing, and natural environment that is also conducive to learning.
The multi-story facility was nestled in the woods, on a small exposed parcel of grass immediately adjacent to the beach.

This would allow occupants to take advantage of the nature that surrounds them, as well as having immediate access to recreational activities including hiking, beach lounging, surfing, and nigh-time bon-fires..
